How it Works

The Booking Process

Here’s what to expect when hiring your wedding florist.

Decide on a budget.

According to The Knot, the average cost of a wedding in California is $39,000. It is recommended to allocate approximately 10-15% of your budget to florals ($3,900-$5,850). You can certainly have a wedding that is more affordable or more extravagant. Remember: this is an average and there is flexibility here. Be mindful of how your expectations correlate with your budget. But modest budget or not, I can help you pinpoint exactly what about the inspiration photos you love and include those elements into the final design. I was a bride once and completely understand that these wedding flowers are the most important flowers one will ever purchase.

Select your style.

Are you looking for a loose, whimsical garden bouquet?  A classic, cascade? A dainty posy of Baby’s Breath?  Or lux orchids?  Look up ideas and save anything that catches your attention with a little note of what you like about it. Thoroughly analyze the small details. Is it the shape of the centerpieces that keep your eye moving? The color of a certain flower that matches your color scheme? Or is it the texture of the filler that makes it so interesting to look at?  I love pictures. They help me get a better idea of your vision. So save those photos to a private Pinterest board or photo gallery that you can share with me. Together we will put together an amazing plan.

Contact me!

I would love to hear from you. Submit the Event Questionnaire and we will schedule a phone consultation. During this consultation, we will go over the basics: the type of event you are planning, the date of your event, any questions you may have and go over the arrangement options for your special day.

As your floral designer, it is my obligation to know flower varieties, seasonally available blooms, and processing care for a plethora of flower types. I work for you to make sure your special day is unforgettable. If something is not right, I promise to do my absolute best to provide resolution. And I am completely honest, open, and transparent with you each step of the way.

My Job.

I gather all the information we have discussed, plan out my recipes, and create a tailored proposal specific to your event. I map out each arrangement from the smallest boutonniere to the largest statement floral arch. I include varieties and dimensions for each piece you requested to complete your dream wedding or event florals. When you see the proposal, if you aren’t 100% happy, I will gladly make accommodations and edits until you are. Flowers can be pricey and easily exceed one’s budget. They are imported from all parts of the world (roses from Ecuador, peonies from Alaska, tulips from Holland, etc.) and all make it into that one wedding bouquet you hold. Don’t let this intimidate you. I will work with you and offer more affordable alternatives until the quote is suitable. I’d like to think I’m a reasonable person, and I am willing to help as best as I can. We are a team with the same goal, and we will work together to get it just right.

The Final Step.

Once you are 100% satisfied with the proposal, we finalize the agreement and I begin to work your event. Please be mindful that I will not be able to reserve your date or order your flowers until I receive a deposit and signed agreement. It is important to get this done well in advance of your big day. I understand this can be one of the most important days of your life. I take pride in my work and ensure that I will exceed your expectations. You just show up to your event and enjoy all the beautiful floral details, in person, that you had once only envisioned in your mind.
